Alex Conrado, soundtracks composer for Spanish television and cinema.

His passion for music was noticeable from a very young age. At the age of seven he learned to play the guitar and at twelve he formed a band with his brother.

He studied piano, orchestration and composition at the Real Conservatorio de Madrid. He graduated in 1996 with the Flora Prieto Award in harmony and composition.

Parallel to his activity as a classical musician, he became interested in film music and compositions. One of his first approaches to film music was with Pedro Almodóvar’s film “La flor de mi secreto”.

His first commissioned feature film came in 2004 with the film “Cinemart”, directed by Jordi Mollà. A year later, he created the score for the film “Viure sense” (A life without fear) directed by Carlos Pérez Ferré and produced by In Vitro Films, for which he was awarded for Best Film Soundtrack at the Mostra, Valencia.

But a key date in Ale’s career was 2011, when he became the musical composer for the Antena 3 serie “El Secreto de Puente Viejo”. Where he received the nomination for best musical production in the XV edition of the Iris Awards of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Spanish Television.

He is also the author of the music for the short film “A Shadow of Blue”, which was shortlisted for the Oscars.
