Whenever we start to feel a tooth sensitive to hot or cold liquids or food, we may have a deep cavity near or in contact with the dental nerve. In these situations, a dental filling cannot reverse the pain, and the nerve must be treated to stop the sensitivity and restore the tooth.


Endodontics is the branch of dentistry concerned with the cause, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of the dental pulp, usually by treating the nerve and other tissues of the pulp cavity and replacing them with appropriate filling material.
